Individual & Relationship Counselling in Melbourne

Thoughtful support through life’s more complex moments.

About Nicole

I am an ACA and PACFA registered counsellor with a Master of Counselling from Monash University.

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent more than 20 years in senior leadership roles across large and complex organisations. This experience gives me a particular understanding of the pressures associated with demanding careers, leadership, workplace change and major professional transitions.

My counselling approach is calm, thoughtful and grounded. I draw on evidence-informed approaches and work collaboratively with each client, recognising that every person brings their own experiences, relationships and circumstances to counselling.

Individual Counselling

You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling.

Sometimes we need somewhere to think clearly, talk honestly and explore what is happening without judgement or expectation.

I work with adults experiencing a broad range of personal, professional and relationship concerns, including:

  • Anxiety, stress and feeling overwhelmed
  • Relationship difficulties and separation
  • Workplace stress, burnout, redundancy and career change
  • Grief and loss
  • Fertility and IVF
  • Family and parenting challenges
  • Confidence and self-esteem
  • Identity and major life transitions
  • Difficult decisions and uncertainty about the future

Counselling can help you better understand patterns in your thoughts, emotions and relationships, develop new perspectives and consider what you would like to change.

The aim is not to tell you what to do, but to help you develop greater clarity and confidence in making decisions that feel right for you.

Relationships Counselling

Relationships can become difficult for many reasons. Communication can break down, the same conflicts can repeat, circumstances can change, or two people can gradually find themselves feeling less connected.

Relationship counselling provides a supportive and non-judgemental space to explore what is happening between you and to have conversations that can sometimes be difficult to have on your own.

I work with couples experiencing:

  • Communication difficulties
  • Recurring conflict
  • Loss of connection or intimacy
  • Trust and relationship concerns
  • Fertility and IVF pressures
  • Parenting and family pressures
  • Work and financial stress affecting the relationship
  • Major life changes and transitions
  • Separation and decisions about the future of the relationship

The purpose of counselling is not to decide who is right or wrong. It is to recognise patterns that may be contributing to difficulties and help each person communicate more openly and constructively.

For some couples, the focus is on reconnecting and strengthening the relationship. For others, counselling can provide a supportive space to consider what comes next.

When You’re Ready to Talk

You do not need to have everything worked out before coming to counselling. Sometimes having the space to talk openly can bring greater clarity about what is happening and what you would like to do next.
